Poetry: Enda Spellman

Dreams

Take yourself on a happy journey in the thoughts of your mind
Forget the torments of life and the gloom,
Put yourself somewhere you may think special

Perhaps a beautiful garden where tulips,
Daffodils or roses are in bloom.

Let your thoughts wander to the seashore
On a nice sunny day
And a gentle breeze in your face
And the sand between your toes without a worry or a care,
Having a picnic with delicious food
The waves dashing against the rocks
And a bit of fun your friends you share.

Maybe a trip through the countryside on a hot summers day,
Cattle grazing peacefully,
As lambs frolic and play,
The smell of new mown grass in the air.

Peddling on a bicycle down a quiet narrow road,
Wild berries, birds and all the little creatures you meet
As the wind goes through your hair
